Grades 1–10 · Built from the printed school textbooks
Children finish the lesson because they want the next one.
Sikai turns a school subject into short lessons with questions at the end and a reward worth coming back for. Every diagram is drawn by the phone, so a lesson weighs about as much as a text message.
Built for low-end Android phones and patchy 3G. No video, no adverts, and nothing a child can be sold.
Three steps from opening the app to earning something
The same shape every time, so a grade 3 student and a grade 9 student both know what happens next.
01
Learn it
A short explanation and a worked example. Diagrams are drawn by the phone rather than downloaded, so the screen arrives on a slow connection.
02
Prove it
A handful of questions. A wrong answer shows the lesson's own hint and lets the child try again — it never says "incorrect" and never marks them down for trying.
03
Keep what you earned
One reward moment at the end: points, the streak, any new badge, and the next topic queued. Once, at the end — not confetti on every tap.
Two ways to start
Through the school, or straight from you
Same lessons, same questions, same rewards. What differs is who manages the account.
Through the school
SCHOOL→TEACHER→STUDENT
1The school adds its classes; each teacher creates their students and hands out usernames and PINs.
2Teachers watch the class list for who has stalled, and open any student's answers.
3The child signs in on any phone with a username and four digits — no email, no phone number.
Straight from you
PARENT→CHILD·NO SCHOOL NEEDED
1You add the child yourself and pick their grade — 1 to 10.
2You set their four digits and their daily goal. Siblings share a phone and each keep their own progress.
3Progress comes to you directly — no teacher, no class code, nothing to wait for.
Both routes are open today, and neither starts with a form. A school sets up its own students; a family account is opened by someone at Sikai who checks it belongs to you — see For parents for how to ask, or sign in if you already have one.
Five mechanics, each doing one job
Points and levels
Progress that only ever goes up — the safe floor under everything else.
Daily streaks
One lesson a day keeps it alive. A missed day is never framed as a loss.
Badges
Named for what the child actually did, so it means something to show a parent.
Class leaderboard
Weekly and per class — small enough that everyone can move, then it resets. A teacher can switch it off.
An unlocking path
Lessons open as earlier ones are finished, and the locked ones stay visible so the road ahead is never hidden.
For schools
A teacher can see who is stuck before the next class
1Open any student and read their answers — which question, which attempt, what they typed. Not a score out of ten.
2Shared devices are first-class. Students sign in with a username and four digits, so a class set of phones works without a single email address.
3Leaderboards stay inside the class, and a teacher can switch them off for a section without anyone losing points.
For families
Progress, never surveillance
A parent sees what their child studied and where they are stuck. A parent never sees the child's answers, and never their PIN.
1One account, several children — siblings can share a phone and each still has their own four digits, streak and progress.
2Nothing academic is behind a payment. Every lesson and every question is free, whichever route a child came in through.
3No daily nagging. The app does not push a child to come back, and it never shows them a price.
Free for every student. Paid per class for schools.
Every lesson and every question is free, whether a child comes in through their school or a parent sets them up. Schools pay for the teacher tools: class lists, per-student answers and reporting.
